The aim of HaGe’s investments in new storage facilities is to ensure a sustainable orientation of the location in the port of Rostock. Especially the flexibility through higher capacity in the flow of goods will pay off. Building the second ship loader will boost the loading capacity and meet the increased demands of an efficient flow of goods. These investments will also improve the energy efficient when storing and handling grain.

Each of the four new steel silos in Rostock contributes with a diameter of 22m and a height of 27m to a total volume of approx. 11.500 cubic meters. Each silo can store approx. 8.625 ton of grain(that makes it a total of approx. 34.500 tons). The product is conveyed by chain conveyors with a capacity of 300 t/h for storing and 400 t/h for emptying. For the ship loading an 800t/h belt conveyor plant was installed and the weigh bridge takes place by means of a continuous scale with capacity of 400 t/h.
